💨 Abstract
The Georgia chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has filed a lawsuit against Stone Mountain Park for planning an exhibit that ties the site's Confederate monument to slavery, segregation, and white supremacy. The Confederate carving, completed in 1972, is protected by state law from any changes, and the group alleges that relocating Confederate flags and creating the exhibit violates Georgia law.
