💨 Abstract
The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of Northwest D.C. and neighboring Maryland and Virginia counties until 8:15 p.m. Kayle Bates, convicted of abducting and murdering a woman in Florida in 1982, is scheduled for execution on August 19. This marks the 10th execution in the U.S. this year, with a total of 26 so far, the highest since 2015.
