💨 Abstract

In North Carolina, heavy rain and flooding from Tropical Storm Chantal led to over 50 water rescues and displaced more than 60 people. Key areas, including apartment complexes and shopping centers, were affected. The Eno and Haw Rivers crested, breaking records. Around 34,000 customers lost power. Officials issued evacuation warnings and closed major highways.
