💨 Abstract
Florida’s Supreme Court, dominated by Gov. Ron DeSantis appointees, upheld the state’s current congressional redistricting map, rejecting a challenge that aimed to restore a majority-Black district in north Florida. The court ruled that restoring the district would constitute racial gerrymandering, violating the Constitution. This decision maintains the current 20-8 Republican advantage in congressional districts.
