💨 Abstract
On July 17, 2025, a judge accepted a conditional release plan for Morgan Geyser, who, at 12, stabbed her classmate in 2014 to please the fictional horror character Slender Man. Geyser was approved for release after a seven-year stay at a psychiatric hospital, where she was committed in 2018. The approval came after three experts testified that she had made significant progress in battling her mental illness.
