💨 Abstract

A tragic fire at the Gabriel House assisted-living facility in Fall River, Massachusetts, claimed nine lives, including Eleanor Willett, an 86-year-old who desired independence but struggled with financial constraints. Willett, known for her strength and devout faith, was one of several victims whose stories highlight the challenges faced by elderly individuals navigating assisted living. Other victims included a violist and an army sharpshooter, all of whom had unique backgrounds and family ties.
