💨 Abstract
In January 2025, an American Airlines passenger jet collided with an Army helicopter in Washington, D.C., killing 67 people. This incident was the deadliest U.S. plane crash since 2001. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is set to hold hearings to determine what went wrong and how to prevent similar accidents. The NTSB will focus on military helicopter routes, collision avoidance technology, and air traffic controller training.
