💨 Abstract
A public memorial was held in Cleveland for Lorain Police Officer Phillip C. Wagner, who was ambushed and killed while on duty. Wagner, 35, was honored by a procession, community members, and law enforcement from across Ohio. During the service at Rocket Arena, fellow officers spoke about Wagner's bravery, and he was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Medal of Honor. Mayor Jack Bradley declared July 24 as "Officer Phillip Wagner Day" in Lorain.
