đź’¨ Abstract
Starbucks is mandating some remote workers to return to headquarters and increasing the office days for corporate employees to four days a week from October. Corporate "people leaders" must relocate to Seattle or Toronto within a year. Non-relocating employees can opt for a voluntary exit program. Major companies are similarly pushing for in-office work, and competition for remote jobs is high. Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol emphasizes the benefits of in-person collaboration.
