💨 Abstract
In Death Valley National Park, 99 runners participated in the 37th Badwater 135 Ultramarathon, a 135-mile race through extreme heat. Danny Westergaard, 66, a veteran of the race, completed his 18th run, finishing in 45 hours and 29 minutes with the support of his family. The event, known for its challenging conditions, saw temperatures soar, pushing athletes to their limits.
