💨 Abstract
Two deputies in South Carolina were injured during a training exercise after being shot with breaching rounds mistakenly thought to be blanks. The officers obtained the ammunition from a desk drawer, not the armory, and failed to properly test them. Both deputies are recovering after emergency surgery. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has halted shotgun training and is investigating the incident to potentially discipline the involved deputies.
