đź’¨ Abstract
The article discusses a lawsuit filed by 20 states and Washington, D.C., against the Trump administration. The lawsuit seeks to prevent the Justice Department from withholding federal funds for crime victims if states do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. The states argue that the conditions imposed by the administration overstep constitutional and administrative authority and interfere with policies designed to protect crime victims, regardless of their immigration status.
