💨 Abstract
In Serbia, nearly 50 protesters have been detained, and dozens were injured. This escalation occurred after nine months of generally peaceful protests against President Aleksandar Vučić. The recent violence began when ruling party supporters attacked anti-government demonstrators. Similar clashes were reported on Tuesday. University students are leading the protests, which started in November following a station cover collapse. They demand an early parliamentary election, which Vučić refuses.
