💨 Abstract

Heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the Midwest led to the cancellation of the final day of the Wisconsin State Fair and the USA Triathlon Championships in Milwaukee. The region experienced power outages, road closures, and over 600 emergency calls. In Lincoln, Nebraska, severe weather damaged a prison, displacing 387 inmates. One person died in eastern Nebraska when a tree fell on a car due to strong winds.
