💨 Abstract
A federal judge in Maryland ruled that President Trump's administration cannot deny citizenship to children born to undocumented or temporary residents in the U.S. This decision is the fourth court ruling blocking Trump’s January birthright citizenship order nationwide since the Supreme Court's June ruling. Judge Deborah Boardman's preliminary injunction certifies a class of all affected children and leans on the 14th Amendment's citizenship clause.
