The article discusses a massive wildfire in central California, named the Gifford Fire, which has scorched over 113 square miles in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. The fire threatens more than 800 structures and has injured at least three people. Over 1,900 personnel are fighting the blaze, which originated from at least four smaller fires along State Route 166. Smoke from the fire is posing a health risk to nearby areas.
