💨 Abstract

Hyundai and Kia have agreed to a nationwide settlement requiring them to offer free repairs to millions of vehicles due to inadequate anti-theft technology. The settlement, led by Minnesota's Attorney General Keith Ellison, affects approximately 9 million vehicles sold between 2011 and 2022. The companies must install engine immobilizers in future U.S. models and pay restitution to affected owners.
