💨 Abstract
In a wrongful death lawsuit, Los Angeles Angels president John Carpino testified that the team wished they had known sooner about Tyler Skaggs' drug use and that of team employee Eric Kay. Skaggs died in 2019 from an overdose of fentanyl-laced pills provided by Kay. The trial, which began in October 2025, involves Skaggs' family suing the Angels, arguing the team should have known about Kay's drug activities.
