💨 Abstract
Federal agents were investigating potential illegal hosting of students by Columbia University in early 2025. The Department of Justice prepared for raids on certain students' residences in March, focusing on two international students: Ranjani Srinivasan and Yunseo Chung, across whom there was no evidence of collaborative connections. The uptight agents searched both of their residence with no proper warrants, were denied entry by Srinivasan's roommate and found Chung's apartment abandoned.
