💨 Abstract
Colombia's Justice Minister, Ángela María Buitrago, announced her resignation in a letter to President Gustavo Petro, effective June 1. Buitrago, after 10 months in office, cited unspecified "interference" in her duties, mentioning later in interviews alleged pressures from Interior Minister Armando Benedetti and Presidential Department Director Angie Rodríguez. Benedetti has denied the accusations and threatened legal action.
