đź’¨ Abstract
The article discusses the potential link between age-related hearing loss and dementia. Hearing loss, which affects around 80% of individuals over 85, can be caused by factors like noise exposure, health conditions, and medications. Dementia, a decline in cognitive abilities, may be exacerbated by hearing loss due to increased risk of cognitive decline, abnormal protein buildup, and social isolation.
