💨 Abstract
Harvard and other universities have canceled affinity graduation ceremonies, which celebrate diverse student identities, due to political pressure from President Donald Trump. These events, often held for Black, Latino, Asian, first-generation, and LGBTQ+ students, are significant for honoring cultural heritage. Despite the cancellations, students like Elyse Martin-Smith at Harvard and Kristopher Washington at the University of Kentucky are finding alternative venues to hold these important celebrations.
