💨 Abstract
A tribunal in the Dominican Republic postponed a hearing to determine coercive measures for Antonio and Maribel Espaillat, owners of the Jet Set Club. The club's roof collapse in April left over 230 dead and 180 injured. Both siblings have been detained since last week. The prosecutor's office claimed the disaster was caused by critical structural overloading due to inadequate modifications from its original design as a cinema. Experts conclude the collapse was preventable, induced by overloading.
