💨 Abstract
Vance Boelter, 57, is in custody for the alleged shooting of two Minnesota lawmakers. The attacks, which occurred early Saturday, resulted in the deaths of Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman, her husband, and injured state senator John Hoffman and his wife. Governor Tim Walz suggested political motivations. Boelter worked for Praetorian Guard Security and had military training. Authorities, including Governor Walz, are set to provide updates later today.
