Immigration officers are detaining immigrants in courthouse hallways nationwide after defending their cases, alarming and disturbing attorneys and activists. Advocates warn this practice shrinks the courts off and intimidates immigrants from any engagement with the U.S. legal system from both immigration proceedings and civil cases.
