💨 Abstract

Tropical Storm Barbara is 275 km southwest of Zihuatanejo, Mexico, moving west-noroeste at 19 km/h. It is expected to gain strength and become a Category 1 hurricane by Sunday. Barbara will bring heavy rainfall to Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, and Guerrero. The storm is anticipated to weaken to a tropical storm again by Tuesday. This is the second named tropical storm of the 2025 Pacific hurricane season.
