💨 Abstract

Progressive leftist presidents from five countries—Brazil, Spain, Uruguay, Colombia, and Chile—met in Santiago to discuss advancing multilateralism, democracy, and global cooperation based on social justice. The "Democracia Siempre" meeting focused on countering authoritarian discourses, reducing inequalities, and combating disinformation. They expressed concern over global polarization and the erosion of democratic institutions, vowing to protect democracy and present their proposals at the upcoming UN General Assembly.
