💨 Abstract
Devastating floods struck central Texas over the weekend, claiming dozens of lives and destroying communities centered around camping and nature. Over 750 girls were at Camp Mystic, along the Guadalupe River, including young campists and daughters of a Texas representative. Severe flooding, exacerbated by the region's terrain and lack of effective warning systems, led to dramatic rescues and fatalities.
