💨 Abstract

After a violent week in southern Syria's city of Suwayda, with hundreds killed, clashes have ceased, following a ceasefire agreement between Syria’s government, Druze groups, and Bedouin tribes. By Sunday, sporadic communications stemmed, and no shots were reported. The global community, including the U.S., pressured Damascus to prevent jihadist infiltration. Bedouin fighters clashed with Druze groups near Suwayda, and Druze leaders appealed for international intervention.
