💨 Abstract
More than two dozen Lhotshampa refugees from Bhutan, who were deported from the United States, now face a legal limbo. They were initially expelled from Bhutan in the 1990s and later resettled in the U.S. and other countries through a UN-led program. Despite completing their sentences for various crimes, they have been deported to Bhutan, which refuses to accept them, leaving them stranded in Nepal.
