💨 Abstract

On July 4, 2025, Texas experienced devastating floods causing 129 deaths with at least 150 missing, primarily impacting 18 camp sites and residential areas in Kerr and Kendall counties. Warnings were issued, but the rapid rise in water levels, reaching 9 meters in 45 minutes, overwhelmed communities. A Camp Mystic counselor recalled the horror, and officials asserted they did everything possible.
