💨 Abstract
Air Canada prepares to lock out flight attendants after 99.7% voted for a strike, potentially starting disruptions on August 14. The airline will shut down operations on August 16 until a deal is reached. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) has sought fair wages and paid work hours, accusing Air Canada of no interest in addressing key issues. Air Canada, however, claims it offered a 38% compensation increase over four years.
