💨 Abstract

Armed groups in northern Colombia have systematically targeted the LGBTQ community through violent campaigns, as indicated by threatening flyers issued over a year ago. The brutal killings, including that of transgender woman Sara Millerey in Medellín, reflect deep-seated violence and intolerance. Despite progressive policies subtended by the government, impunity remains high, with very few convictions for LGBTQ homicides.
