💨 Abstract
Foodborne illnesses are increasing. From 2020 to 2022, annual infections and hospitalizations from foodborne pathogens rose significantly. Experts suggest that the post-pandemic return to dining out, increased global food distribution, and climate change may be contributing factors. Raw milk, undercooked meats, and unwashed produce are among the riskiest foods.
