💨 Abstract
Occidental Petroleum Corp. reported a second-quarter profit of $458 million, or 26 cents per share, exceeding Wall Street's earnings expectations of 28 cents per share. However, the company's revenue of $6.46 billion fell slightly short of the predicted $6.48 billion. This Houston-based exploration and production company outperformed in profitability but missed revenue targets.
