💨 Abstract

As of August 2025, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act has significantly altered federal student loan programs, causing college students to reassess their educational plans. Key changes include new borrowing caps, elimination of grad PLUS loans, and revised income-driven repayment plans. Over 60% of students feel impacted, with many considering less schooling, different degrees, or private loans. Understanding of these changes is limited, with only 20% fully understanding them.
