Derwin James intercepted a pass from Gardner Minshew, who replaced the injured Patrick Mahomes, in the final seconds. Justin Herbert, playing with a broken hand, threw for 210 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs, despite a strong first half, struggled in the second half due to injuries and turnovers, ending their season.
