The first innovation district in Virginia, centered around George Mason University's Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, is set to boost high-tech industries and reduce dependency on the federal government. Funded by GO Virginia, Prince William County, and the City of Manassas, this district aims to foster growth in sectors like life sciences, aerospace, and AI. With federal job cuts, it offers workforce programs for displaced workers and encourages entrepreneurship.
