💨 Abstract

In May 2025, a monument to Josef Stalin was unveiled at Moscow's Taganskaya subway station, marking the 90th anniversary of the Moscow Metro. The statue portrays Stalin with workers and children, replacing an earlier tribute removed post-1953 to disassociate from Stalin's repressions. Public reaction is mixed, with some admiring Stalin's role in building a superpower and others remembering his brutal regime.
