On May 18, 2025, Russia launched its most intense drone attack on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022. Ukraine's air force reported that 273 exploding drones and decoys were fired, with 88 intercepted and 128 likely jammed. One woman was killed, and three others were injured in the Kyiv region. This attack followed failed ceasefire talks between Moscow and Kyiv.
