💨 Abstract

Since March 2025, Ukraine has engaged in U.S.-brokered talks with Russia, aiming to convince the Trump administration of Russia's unreliability and Ukraine's commitment to peace. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has sought to rally U.S. support while depending on Europe's backing. Recent talks in Istanbul yielded no substantial results, frustrating both Ukraine and the U.S. Meanwhile, Russia insists on politically untenable demands.
