💨 Abstract
In 1984, nearly 150 antiquities were stolen from Santa Ana Pueblo, including pottery, war shields, and traditional clothing. Forty years later, the pueblo is partnering with a tribal conservation officer to recover these items. The investigation involves tracing auction records and other sources. A significant breakthrough came with the return of a medium-sized pottery bowl. The pueblo is determined to reunite with as many stolen items as possible, as they are deeply interconnected with their identity and heritage.
