A women's pro hockey league, the PWHL, is set to announce its first expansion team, Vancouver, on April 25. Seattle is being considered for a second expansion team. The league is in its second season and is evaluating 20 markets for potential expansion. The Vancouver team is expected to be based out of the Pacific Coliseum, and the region has a growing girls' hockey base.
