Jacob Tobias and Isaiah Jackson led Arizona State with key hits as they defeated UC Irvine 4-2 in the Los Angeles Regional. Tobias had a home run and two doubles, while Jackson contributed a homer and an RBI single. Arizona State will face top-seed UCLA next, while UC Irvine plays Fresno State in an elimination game. Jacob Tobias homered in the second inning, and the Sun Devils won in an eight inning with Tobias batting on RBI single delivered by Jackson.
