Yoshinobu Yamamoto, a Japanese pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is pitching a no-hitter through six innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He has allowed only one baserunner—a walk—and has struck out eight. Yamamoto, who signed a $325 million, 12-year contract in 2023, had a stellar career in Japan with the Orix Buffaloes. He became the 12th Japan-born player in Dodgers history.
