💨 Abstract
A game between Angel City and Utah Royals in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) should have been called off following the collapse of Angel City's 20-year-old defender, Savy King, last Friday. The league, after reviewing its protocols and seeking feedback for sustainable change, expressed regret for not stopping the game immediately. King had surgery for a heart abnormality and is recovering with a good prognosis.
