💨 Abstract

On the opening day of Indianapolis 500 practice, Team Penske led the field with Will Power and Josef Newgarden setting the fastest times. The session was shortened due to rain and a lightning strike. Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing was third, with notable drivers like Scott Dixon, Helio Castroneves, and Alexander Rossi also participating. Rossi, a new father, surprised many with the recent birth of his son.
