Miami Marlins ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Chicago Cubs 3-1 on Wednesday. Kyle Stowers led the Marlins with two solo home runs, his 10th of the season, and a triple. Ryan Weathers returned to the Marlins' rotation, pitching five strong innings. Agustín Ramírez also homered and doubled, helping Miami avoid a sweep at Wrigley Field. Seiya Suzuki homered for the Cubs, their lone run.
