In a thrilling overtime victory, the defending champion Minnesota Frost defeated the second-seeded Toronto Sceptres 4-3. Kendall Coyne Schofield scored two goals, and Taylor Heise sealed the win in overtime. Minnesota, the fourth seed, became the first team to win a best-of-five series in less than five games, rallying from a two-goal deficit. Nicole Hensley made 26 saves for Minnesota, while Carly Jackson had 22 saves for Toronto.
