In a Sunday night game, LSU swept the best-of-three Baton Rouge Super Regional against West Virginia, securing their 20th berth in the College World Series. Jake Brown hit a home run and drove in four runs, while Steven Milam had two doubles and also drove in four. Anthony Eyanson started for LSU, striking out seven in five innings. West Virginia set a single-season win record under first-year coach Steve Sabins, but ultimately lost both games.
